Destiny Analysis
BaZi
Analysis
Your birth date and time contain a complete map of your life’s energy. A Bazi reading decodes it — giving you clarity on who you are, and what lies ahead.
"A Bazi reading does not tell you what will happen. It shows you the kind of energy you carry — and how to work with it, not against it."
What is BaZi?
Your Life's Blueprint
Bazi (八字), also known as Four Pillars of Destiny, is a classical Chinese metaphysical system based on the energy present at the exact moment of your birth. Your birth year, month, day, and hour each carry a specific heavenly stem and earthly branch — forming eight characters that map your unique energy pattern.
A skilled reading of these eight characters reveals your elemental makeup, the quality of your relationships, your career and wealth potential, and the natural timing of the different phases in your life.
This is not fortune-telling. It is a structured, time-tested method of self-understanding — one that has been refined over a thousand years.
Many clients come to Bazi during a period of uncertainty — a career crossroads, a relationship decision, or simply a feeling that something is not quite aligned. A reading often brings the clarity they have been searching for.
What Your Reading Covers
Your dominant and lacking elements — and how they shape your personality, strengths, and tendencies.
The industries and roles that align with your chart — and the timing of your strongest earning years.
The dynamics your chart creates in personal and professional relationships — and how to navigate them.
A roadmap of the major energy cycles you will move through — so you can prepare and plan, not just react.
What the current year's energy means specifically for your chart — opportunities to pursue, and pitfalls to avoid.
What to Prepare
Your exact date of birth and, if known, your time of birth. The more precise your birth time, the more accurate the reading. If you are unsure of your birth time, Master Lo can still conduct a partial reading.
Duration: approximately 90 minutes.
The Four Pillars grow from a single root — your birth moment.
The Four Pillars of Destiny
Your Eight Characters
Each pillar carries a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch — together forming the eight characters that define your chart. The Day Stem represents you. The others reveal the energies that shape your life across time.

Common Questions
BaZi Analysis — FAQ
A precise birth time allows for a full Four Pillars reading, including the Hour Pillar — which adds significant depth to the analysis. That said, if your birth time is unknown or uncertain, Master Lo can still conduct a meaningful reading using the Year, Month, and Day Pillars. He will let you know honestly what can and cannot be determined without the hour.
BaZi is often grouped under the broad umbrella of Chinese astrology, but it is more accurately described as a destiny analysis system. Unlike the Chinese Zodiac, which is based solely on birth year, BaZi uses the full birth date and time — year, month, day, and hour — to construct a detailed elemental profile. It is a more layered and precise system.
BaZi does not predict specific events. It identifies the quality of energy during different phases of your life — periods that are more supportive, and periods that require more care. How events unfold within those phases depends on your choices and circumstances. A skilled reading helps you navigate timing, not eliminate uncertainty.
A full BaZi consultation with Master Lo takes approximately 90 minutes. This covers your elemental profile, career and wealth direction, relationship dynamics, Luck Pillars, and the current year’s outlook. There is time for your questions throughout the session.
A foundational BaZi reading typically provides guidance for several years. Many clients return annually for a yearly outlook update — a shorter session focused on what the current year’s energy means specifically for their chart. Clients entering a new Luck Pillar often find this a natural time for a deeper review.
BaZi readings can be conducted both in person and online. For clients based outside Singapore, or who prefer a remote session, an online consultation via video call is available. The quality of the reading is not affected by location — BaZi analysis is based on your birth data, not on being physically present.
