Landed Property
Feng Shui
A landed property gives far more scope for meaningful Feng Shui work — and demands it. External landforms, gate placement, water features, and multi-storey layouts all carry significant weight.
"Landed properties have both greater potential and greater risk. The terrain, the neighbours' rooflines, the road in front — all of these are read and considered. This is where classical Feng Shui shows its full depth."
Comprehensive Assessment
Feng Shui for the Full Property
A landed property consultation is the most comprehensive form of residential Feng Shui work. Unlike apartments and condominiums, a landed property sits on its own ground — with a distinct relationship to the surrounding terrain, road network, neighbouring structures, and natural features.
Master Lo reads the external environment first — landforms, road curvature, the direction of incoming water and road. He then moves inside to assess the floor plan across all levels, the staircase, the master bedroom, and the placement of key functional areas including the kitchen, study, and any home office.
For properties under renovation or newly acquired, this consultation provides a full Feng Shui-informed interior layout plan that your architect or ID can incorporate directly.
Scope of the Consultation
Roads, terrain, landforms, neighbouring structures — the "form school" reading of your property's position.
A complete star map for every level and sector of the home.
Entry points and water positions are critical in a landed property. These are assessed in full.
Guidance on room allocation, bedroom placement, and renovation priorities — tailored to your family's Bazi profiles.
Full-Depth Assessment for Your Property
This is the most in-depth residential service offered. Clients typically find it most valuable when done before renovation begins.
Common Questions
Landed Property Feng Shui — FAQ
Landed properties require a more comprehensive assessment. In addition to the Flying Stars chart and internal layout, Master Lo evaluates external landforms — the shape of the land, surrounding roads, water features, and neighbouring structures. Multi-storey homes also require the energy flow to be assessed across levels. The session typically takes longer than a flat consultation, and the recommendations may be more extensive.
Before renovation is strongly preferred. The consultation often informs where to place key rooms, how to position the main entrance, and which areas to enhance or avoid. Making these decisions after renovation has fixed the layout limits what is still possible. If renovation has already taken place, the consultation can still provide valuable guidance — it simply works within the existing structure.
Yes — significantly so for landed properties. A road pointing directly at your main gate, a large dead tree in the wealth sector, or a neighbour’s roofline cutting into your property’s sightline all carry meaning in classical Feng Shui. These are not superstitions — they are observations about how energy moves through the environment surrounding your home. Master Lo assesses these as part of every landed consultation.
For landed properties, an in-person visit is strongly recommended. The external environment and multi-level energy flow are difficult to assess accurately from photographs alone. Master Lo visits the property directly to conduct a thorough reading. He serves Singapore island-wide.
